Network Broadcast: CBS 48Hours, sweeps week Frame one is from the original footage of a helicopter shot that followed the path the tornado had taken through Moore Oklahoma. CGI buildings had to be add to replace those that had been lost in the real storm and then destroyed by the animated tornado. RealViz's Match Mover was used to track the background footage from the wild helicopter shot and derive an accurate Maya 3D camera and path matching the helicopter's camera. The tornado itself was modeled based on extensive footage of that particular storm.
